2025 polaris RZR XP1000 issue

My buddy just took the plunge and bought his first ever RZR! It's amazing, I'm actually tempted to change my old RZR into the brand new one like his.

We're thinking about to hit the trails, but before I start planning any trips, he wanna make sure this thing's actually good to go, even though it sounds kinda dumb since it's brand spankin' new.

Well, the dealer he picked it up from didn't seem to be on their A game, putting it together.

Yeah, for real, a few things were loosey goosey, like the dash plastics and the seats, which were wobblier than a newborn giraffe, lol.

When shifting out of low or high, it wants to hang out in reverse, and I tried it, so if feels like we gotta really muscle it to get it into park.

Is this the norm? Any help or tips would be a lifesaver since I'm green as grass with these things. Thanks in advance!

It should be under warranty, you know where to take it. If you're not confident in them, check out another dealer. It seems like the secondary clutch is slipping while in nuetral or park, and that could lead to some shifting problems. The main issue is probabley with the primary clutch

I think your buddy needs to contact the dealer immediately about this. especially it's still under warranty Advise him to avoid trying to "fix" this issue to make sure there will be no issues with the warranty.

Absolutely, I think that's the best route to take. It makes sense to let the dealer handle everything while it's still under warranty. By the way, have you heard if he's gotten in touch with them yet? I'm curious to know what kind of issue he's facing

Same here, I'm curious too. I think @HighGearHunter is right about the clutch but let's have the dealer handle it

I understand that your dealer is supposed to handle that under warranty. However, just so you're aware, issues with the shifter aren't common. It could be something as simple as loose cables or adjustments needed in the linkage. Additionally, it's a good idea to check the seat bolts and dash clips, as those can easily be overlooked during assembly, especially when things are being hurried
